Bike Camping France
Bike Camping France is a hidden gem in the rolling hills of the Gers, perched on a secluded hilltop surrounded by 40 hectares of private land. No neighbors, no traffic, just silence, birdsong, sweeping views and the Pyrenees on the horizon. Here you camp with complete freedom, plenty of shade, privacy, and a true sense of outdoor living. You choose your own spot for your tent, caravan or camper van. The pitches are not marked, giving you total freedom to find your perfect place—under a tree, with a view of the hills, or near the main building. The site is spacious and gently sloping, with both sunny and shady spots. Electrical hookups are available and campers are warmly welcomed.
The fully equipped kitchen is freely accessible for campers and includes two large gas stoves, a fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, dishes and cookware—everything you need. In the shaded outdoor area there are tables and chairs, while inside there’s a large communal dining table for rainy or chilly evenings. On warm days, the saltwater pool offers welcome refreshment. For kids and adults alike, there’s a games room with table tennis, darts, a pool table and a box of board games. A laundry room with washing machine, detergent, baskets and drying facilities is also available.

Just four kilometers from the campsite lies Villefranche-d’Astarac, a classic bastide village with half-timbered houses, a historic market hall and a peaceful village square. Stroll along the Gimone river or visit the art installation by Teruhisa Suzuki just outside the village. Walkers will find over thirty marked trails winding through the surrounding countryside, past sunflower fields, forests and sleepy hamlets. The campsite is also a true haven for cyclists. Mountain bikes and e-bikes are available for rent on-site, with scenic routes starting right at the doorstep. Quiet rural roads, green valleys and hidden paths make every ride an experience. And for something extra special, try the vélorail in Nogaro—an electric railbike that lets you pedal through the landscape in a whole new way.
