Burciano di Sotto in Cortona is a small campsite in Italy with a lake, located on the border of Umbria and Tuscany. It is a natural area of 30 hectares with 20 camping pitches, which are located on 3 hectares. Each spacious, private camping pitch has its own terrace and view. You won’t see any other tents! The camping pitches all have plenty of shade, but you can also sit in the sun anywhere. In the center of the campsite, there is a delightful swimming lake and the Capanna, bar, information, and library. The swimming lake is the real highlight of the campsite and offers enjoyment for young and old.
Homemade products and enjoying nature
There are many homemade products, including olive oil, bread, ice cream, and of course, delicious tasty vegetables from the vegetable garden. There is also a small library with games, and owner Lucia serves coffee and tea with homemade cake on the terrace every morning. Sometimes, the campsite guests, in consultation with Lucia, organize a joint Italian meal or barbecue. It is good to know that there is no WiFi coverage at the camping pitches. This allows you to relax and enjoy the peace and nature around you to the fullest. If you still need it, you will find WiFi at the house at the central point of the campsite. At Burciano, you can enjoy the surroundings and its nature in peace; you don’t hear any traffic, mobile phones, etc., only the sounds of nature. And if you want company, you’ll find it at the Capanna or the swimming lake.

Burciano di Sotto is located at 550 meters above sea level, surrounded by forest and an olive grove. It is located on the border of Tuscany and Umbria, with beautiful views of the hills of Tuscany and the mountains of Umbria. From Burciano itself, you can take very varied walks. Even on these walks, you won’t encounter any other tourists, at most the guests of Burciano itself, and enjoy nature and views. From Burciano, you can also take beautiful mountain bike rides through the mountains on dirt paths. For the regular bicycle, Lucia has laid out a number of beautiful cycling routes that go more through the hills and valleys of Tuscany. For the avid cyclist, there are climbs over beautiful roads in the mountains of Umbria. And furthermore, Lucia, the owner, has a tip book with special places/towns to visit by car, but where there are still few tourists.
