Campina Strand in Dessel is a cosy campsite with a large swimming pond in Flanders, located on beautiful recreational lakes. The campsite is situated in a wooded area and has 320 pitches. In addition, the campsite has a modern bar, a snack bar, a cafeteria and a beautiful terrace. There is also a playground for children and you can use one of the rowing boats. You can also fish in one of the three fishing ponds or swim in the swimming pond. The campsite offers free Wi-Fi in and around the cafeteria. Campina Strand is the ideal campsite for families with (young) children and people who enjoy fishing.

Holidays in De Kempen

Campina Strand is located in the middle of the De Kempen nature reserve. At this campsite, you are surrounded by nature, with many different walking and cycling paths. In addition to cycling and walking, you can practise a variety of other sports in and around Campina Strand. Those who enjoy water sports in particular will be in their element here.
There are a few towns near Campina Strand that are easily accessible from the campsite. One example is Turnhout. This town is known for its printing industry and is a great place to shop. It is also the capital of De Kempen. The Saturday market and Sunday antique market attract many visitors every weekend. A small town very close to Camping Strand (only 5 kilometres from the campsite) is Mol. This town has a direct train connection to Antwerp, the shopping city par excellence!
For an active day out with the children, you can go to Bobbejaanland. This amusement park is only 15 kilometres from Campina Strand! A nice alternative is the Olmense zoo. This is a fun zoo with a large playground.
