Camping 1680
Camping 1680 is a small-scale off-road campsite in Zeeland, centrally located in the province and close to Middelburg, Vlissingen, Goes and Lake Veere. The campsite caters exclusively to adventurous travellers with off-road vehicles, such as off-road vehicles, overlanders, 4x4s, off-road campervans and adventure bikes. The owners are themselves enthusiasts of off-road travel and want to create a place where like-minded people can meet, share experiences and enjoy peace and quiet, nature and the great outdoors.
Off-road camping in Zeeland
At Camping 1680, you can camp on spacious, flat and unpaved pitches. You can stay overnight in a tent, caravan, camper van or roof tent, but the vehicle and caravan must be suitable for off-road use. The pitches are easily accessible and there are no size restrictions. Groups are also welcome. The campsite is still under development and is being built out step by step. Among other things, work is underway on a unique sleeping accommodation in a lorry.
The facilities are simple and practical. There are clean toilets and hot showers, and you can make use of drinking water, hot water, a washing-up bowl and a covered kitchen area. There is also a mobile phone charging point, bicycle storage and parking on site. Pets are allowed. The camping pitch, toilets and showers are accessible to people with disabilities. You may light a fire if conditions and the rules regarding wildfire risk permit it.
Discover Zeeland: towns, Lake Veere and Neeltje Jans
Thanks to its central location in Zeeland, you can head off in various directions from Camping 1680. For a day out in the city, you can visit Middelburg, Vlissingen or Goes. If you’d rather explore nature and the water, you can head to Lake Veere. Neeltje Jans is also a great option for a day trip.
In the village itself, you’ll find a liberation museum where you can learn more about the region’s history. After a day out and about, you can return to the peaceful campsite, where you’ll have unobstructed views across the fields and can watch both the sunrise and the sunset.
