Camping-club Les Pins
Camping-club Les Pins in Le Grand-Village-Plage is located at the entrance to the Île d’Oléron in Charente-Maritime, 1.3 km from La Giraudière sandy beach and the sea. Set in 5.8 hectares of pine forest, Camping Club Les Pins offers pitches for your tent/caravan or motorhome and comfortable accommodation for 2 to 6 people. Get back to nature with the Bungalow tents (with or without private sanitary facilities) for 5 people. The campsite has two sanitary blocks with individual showers, washbasins and toilets. There is a separate washing-up area and each sanitary block has a family room with a children’s bath and a large family shower that is also adapted for people with disabilities. Camping Club Les Pins has a laundry room with 4 washing machines and 2 dryers (for a fee). You can visit the snack bar with a view of the lagoon. Here you can buy ice cream, pizzas, chips, hamburgers or mussels with chips. There is also a choice of Marennes/Oléron oysters and other fish dishes. In July and August, there is a daily entertainment programme both during the day and in the evenings, including (kids’) shows, foam parties, performances, bingo and karaoke. Camping Club Les Pins is open until mid-November. In autumn, the campsite is ideal for nature lovers, those seeking peace and quiet, and young families who enjoy a relaxing holiday. The mobile homes and furnished tents are equipped with heating.
Camping on the Île d’Oléron
Camping Club Les Pins is located in Charente-Maritime, on the Atlantic coast, and its microclimate makes it a pleasant place to stay. The beautiful lagoon is accessible every day; with its coral sand beach and fresh water, it is ideal for children who can play safely at the edge of the beach, sheltered from the wind and high waves that you sometimes find on the beach on the coast. With a depth of up to 1.50 m, the lagoon also offers older children the opportunity to swim a few laps. In July and August, there is also the “Cagouille Express” train, which takes you from the campsite to the beach and back every day (for a fee), so you can leave your car behind. Just a few steps from the Les Pins campsite club is the pleasant centre of Le Grand Village Plage. There you will find: the tourist office (L’Office du Tourisme) (50 m), the local supermarket Marché U (100 m), a bakery (100 m), various restaurants, pizzerias, a sandwich shop (50 m), a tobacconist (100 m), a post office (100 m), shops (clothing) (100 m), hairdresser (100 m), chemist (200 m), osteopath (100 m), bicycle hire (300 m), bicycle hire at the campsite (for a fee) and a surf school on the beach (1.3 km).
