Camping De La Base Nautique
Camping De La Base Nautique is a peaceful, small campsite on a shaded terrain along the Tarn River, in the heart of the Grands Causses. The camping pitches are spacious and suitable for pitching your tent, caravan, or camper. There are also fully equipped chalets and mobile homes for rent. For entertainment, there is a petanque court and a playground for children. Fresh bread rolls are available in July and August. As a camping guest, you can use the nearby football and tennis courts for free. At the waterfront restaurant, you can enjoy delicious dishes made from local and organic producers.

The campsite in Aveyron is a 5-minute walk from the village of Saint-Rome-de-Tarn, where you can find a bakery, supermarket, post office, pharmacy, tourist office, and pizzeria. Take a canoe trip on the river and admire the beautiful waterfall just a few minutes’ paddle away. Additionally, visit the impressive Viaduct of Millau (29 km), one of the tallest bridges in the world. You can admire the bridge from viewpoints along the road or from the water. In the surrounding area, you can also find charming medieval villages such as Peyre (18 km) and Castelnau-Pégayrols (17.5 km). Take a trip to the Regional Natural Park of Grands Causses, an extensive area with limestone plateaus, gorges, caves, and rich flora and fauna. The park offers numerous hiking and cycling routes to explore.
