Camping El Cares Picos de Europa
Camping El Cares Picos de Europa is an authentic, sustainable mountain campsite located in the heart of the Picos de Europa National Park. Here, you camp with views of impressive mountain peaks and within walking distance of the famous Ruta del Cares. The campsite is divided into two areas by a mountain stream. You choose your own spot: higher up with panoramic views or lower down by the river, closer to the facilities. Electricity hook-ups are available, and dogs are welcome.

The sanitary facilities are clean, heated, and well maintained. At the atmospheric restaurant, you can enjoy local dishes with vegetarian and vegan options available. There’s also a cozy bar where you can relax with a drink after a day of hiking. A small market is available for your daily groceries.

The campsite lies in one of the most spectacular mountain landscapes in Spain. The Ruta del Cares, one of the country’s most famous hiking routes, begins near the campsite and leads you through narrow mountain gorges and along dizzying cliffside trails. In the valley itself, you can go cycling, birdwatching, swim in the river, or simply relax on the grass while enjoying views of the peaks. There’s a good chance you’ll spot vultures, eagles, or chamois.
