Camping Lachat
Camping Lachat is a small, friendly family campsite located on the bank of the river near the village of Thônes in the French Alps. The pitches are spacious, spread across the site and each offer views of forest, mountains and river. You can stay here with your tent, caravan, camper, buscamper or rooftop tent.
Rustic charm by the river in Haute‑Savoie
At the communal block on the campsite you find hot and cold showers, toilets and a place to dispose of waste. Water and electricity are well provided and there is even a communal fridge available. In the shared covered space of sixty square metres you will find tables and benches where you can eat, seek shelter from the rain or play games together. The campsite has a fire pit and two charcoal barbecues available for campers to use. There is free wifi at the reception and children have also been thought of: swings, a ping‑pong table, pétanque lanes and board games are provided. Pets are welcome, as long as they are kept on a leash.
Hiking in the Alps and swimming in the river
From the campsite you can walk directly along the river or head into the surrounding mountains. The Aravis offer beautiful routes with views of snow-capped peaks, flower-filled meadows and picturesque mountain villages. Lake Annecy is a short drive away and is perfect for a day of swimming, boating or strolling along the promenade. Thônes itself is a charming village with local markets, bakeries and cheese shops. Here you can taste the famous Reblochon cheese or visit a nearby cheesemaker. Sport enthusiasts can enjoy via ferrata, canyoning or mountain biking.
