Camping Le Pontillou
Camping Le Pontillou is a small campsite in the heart of the Dordogne, between the picturesque towns of Périgueux and Bergerac. The pitches accommodate tents, caravans, and campers. Additionally, there are mobile homes and chalets for rent, suitable for up to 6 people. In the summer, you can enjoy swimming and relaxing at the outdoor pool on the premises. Furthermore, the campsite offers a badminton and volleyball court, ping-pong table, and playground for children. You can use the communal barbecue areas to cook up delicious meals. If you don’t feel like cooking, you can order a meal from the snack bar.
Discover the Dordogne
The campsite is located on the outskirts of the village of Villamblard, where you can find a small supermarket and bakery. Also, pay a visit to the castle from 1312, built by the de Barrière family. Explore the historic rooms, stroll through the gardens, and learn more about the rich history of the region. Admission is free. From the campsite, you can reach Périgueux, an ancient Roman city, in half an hour. You can wander through the narrow streets, where you’ll find charming small terraces, shops, and cafes. The atmospheric city of Bergerac is also reachable within 30 minutes.
