Camping Les Eaux Vives
Camping Les Eaux Vives is a small three-star campsite on the banks of the Allier River, located in the charming village of Chapeauroux in Lozère, on the border between Margeride and Pays du Velay. Here you stay in an unspoiled landscape at 750 meters altitude, surrounded by rivers, mountains and forests. The campsite offers 29 flat, grassy pitches, some in the shade. They are suitable for tents, caravans and motorhomes. You can also rent a mobile home or a furnished tent. The heart of the campsite is the restaurant and bar, where Cathy and Gilles prepare regional dishes with local products. Inside there is a cozy dining room with a fireplace, while outside you’ll find two terraces. Regular theme evenings are organized here, such as pizza or barbecue nights. The bar is open every day from 8:30 a.m. for breakfast, drinks or an ice cream. For extra fun there is a TV lounge, a table football game and free WiFi. Fishing enthusiasts will be delighted: the surrounding rivers are among the best trout waters in France and are home to salmon, trout and grayling. Active visitors can go canoeing, kayaking, rafting, canyoning or swimming in the Allier.
