Camping Les Tilleuls
Camping Les Tilleuls is a small-scale and atmospheric family campsite in the heart of the French Pyrenees, just a stone’s throw from the mountain village of Gèdre. You camp on a green, shaded meadow with views of impressive mountain peaks. Set at an altitude of 1,100 meters, the campsite offers spacious pitches for tents, caravans, and campers, as well as unique accommodation options such as an off-the-grid sheepfold, wooden chalets, and authentic Pipowagens.
Camping between the mountains
The campsite has 25 pitches spread over a natural site under tall trees, with panoramic views of the surrounding hills. In addition to regular pitches, there are four charming wooden Pipowagens, a chalet, a tent, and a fully renovated sheepfold. The latter is located slightly higher and is completely self-sufficient with solar panels, a gas boiler, and its own water source. For relaxation, there are special wellness facilities such as a wood-fired Scandinavian bath and a mobile sauna with mountain views. Children can help at the mini farm, where ponies, chickens, goats, and geese roam freely. In the evening, you can light a barbecue or enjoy the panoramic view from your accommodation’s terrace. In addition, there’s a washing machine, dryer, fridge rental, and a small reception shop selling local products, ice cream, snacks, and souvenirs.

Camping Les Tilleuls is located just a few kilometers from the famous Cirque de Gavarnie and is the perfect starting point for hikers, cyclists, and mountain lovers. Walking trails, including parts of the Compostela route, start directly from the site. In nearby Gèdre, you’ll find a swimming pool, ice rink, climbing wall, and several restaurants.
