Camping Serro da Bica
Camping Serro da Bica is a peaceful nature campsite with Dutch owners, set along the banks of the Mira River in southern Portugal. Here, you camp on a green, rolling terrain surrounded by cork oaks and olive trees, with sweeping views of the Portuguese countryside. On this small terraced campsite with about twenty pitches, every spot feels like a private corner of nature. The spacious pitches offer plenty of privacy and natural shade. You can also stay in one of the cosy wooden wagons like the ‘Woody’ or the ‘Gypsy’, each with its own kitchenette, toilet and veranda. The clean and heated sanitary block features hot showers, tidy toilets and a separate washing area. A washing machine and dryer are available for longer stays. Free Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the campsite. In the communal area called ‘De Blokhut’, you can meet other guests for a chat or a game of cards. Pizza nights, barbecues and lunches are regularly organised. For those seeking peace, there’s a small library with a view. Sports fans can watch major events on TV.

Be sure to visit Castro da Cola, an archaeological gem overlooking the valley. The beaches of the Algarve and the rugged west coast are also within easy reach for a day trip.
