Camping Slapershaven
Camping Slapershaven is a mini-campsite in Zeeland, situated on a historic farm dating from 1650 in the polder near Oostburg. Nature, space and creativity come together at this peaceful farm campsite. Since 2023, the mini-campsite has been open all year round. Here, you’ll stay right in the middle of the farmyard, in a rural setting surrounded by fields and with plenty of space to unwind. As well as camping, you can also take part in a creative jewellery-making workshop in the studio, where you can make a silver ring or pendant in just half a day.
Camping on a farm in Zeeland
The camping pitches are spacious and measure approximately 100 m². You can choose a pitch with or without electricity. There are 10 pitches with 16-amp electricity and 10 pitches that can be booked with or without electricity. You are welcome to bring your own tent, caravan or campervan. Prefer glamping? Then you can stay in one of the furnished bell tents. These are decorated in a bohemian hippie style and feature electricity, a small kitchenette with a 3-burner gas hob, crockery, a water jerrycan and an electric cool box. On arrival, a freshly made-up double bed with towels will be waiting for you. The bell tents also have their own barbecue made from an old oil drum.
Facilities and creative outdoor living
The toilet facilities are located in the barn on the farmyard, where the studio is also situated. The toilet block has two toilets, a men’s toilet and two hot showers with a constant temperature of 38 degrees. There is also an outdoor shower on the campsite, heated by the sun. At the sanitary block, you’ll find drinking water, hot water and a washing-up bowl under the canopy. Fire pits are available on the grounds and firewood can be purchased. For children, there is a large trampoline and a swing. There is Wi-Fi, ample parking by the barn, and dogs are welcome provided they are kept on a lead due to the animals on the farmyard. Behind the farmhouse, there are chickens and ducks roaming freely.

From Camping Slapershaven, you can reach Nieuwvliet Bad beach in about 16 minutes. The Zeeland polders are ideal for walking and cycling, with quiet roads and sweeping views. The campsite is also ideally situated for a day out. The Belgian cities of Bruges and Ghent are just a stone’s throw away and can easily be combined with a stay in the Zeeland countryside. This way, you can easily alternate a quiet day at the campsite with a trip to the beach, a city visit or a cycle ride through the polder.
