Camping Solcio
Camping Solcio is a medium-sized family campsite on Lake Maggiore in northern Italy. The campsite has a narrow sand and pebble beach with free umbrellas and sunbeds. Here you can relax or float in the water. You will camp in the shade of the trees overlooking the water. For those who like a bit more comfort or do not have their own camping equipment, mobile homes are available for rent. The campsite offers everything you need during your holiday: nature, relaxation and activities for the whole family. In addition, the campsite has an award-winning restaurant, where locals are also only too happy to sit down for a freshly baked pizza, fish or pasta. While dining, you look out over the lake. Just outside the campsite you will find a mini-market for daily shopping and fresh bread rolls in the morning.
Camping on Lake Maggiore
The campsite is located directly on Lake Maggiore, one of Italy’s largest lakes, in a beautiful inlet between Arona and Stresa. The campsite is next to a small harbour in the quiet village of Solcio di Lesa. Everywhere you turn, you can enjoy stunning views of the mountainous landscape and the lake. There are also boat moorings for hire and the campsite borders directly on a small sandy beach. From the campsite you can easily take fun excursions. Pedalos, canoes and boats can be rented at the nearby marina and boat excursions to the Borromean Islands are 7 km away. The towns of Stresa and Arona are also definitely worth a visit. You will find cosy weekly markets and various sights, such as the palaces and gardens and Stresa and the statue of San Carlo Borromeo in Arona, which you can climb inside.
