Campspace De Kymmel Smilde
Campspace De Kymmel is a peaceful nature campsite set in an orchard on the edge of Smilde, in the green heart of Drenthe. The site is suitable for tents, campers, caravans, campervans and rooftop tents. Each pitch measures approximately eighty square metres. You can also opt for the fully equipped two-person caravan with awning, including optional bed and bath linen. In the middle of the field, atmospheric lights create a cosy setting. There is a trampoline and play area for children, and in the evenings you can enjoy a campfire using one of the available fire pits or bowls. Firewood is available on site. Sanitary facilities include a clean unit with toilet, shower and sink, accessible via a small step. Guests staying longer can do laundry for a small fee and use the drying area.
Around Smilde
From the orchard, you can cycle straight to the Fochteloërveen nature reserve or the Drents-Friese Wold National Park. Appelscha is also nearby. In the centre of Smilde, just 1.5 kilometres away, you’ll find supermarkets, a bakery, a pharmacy, dining options and a bus stop.
