Domaine Saint Martin
Domaine Saint Martin is a small-scale campsite set on a 6-hectare wooded area in the mountains of the French Pyrenees, at the foot of Mount Canigou. The camping pitches range from 90 to 120 m², accommodating tents, caravans, and motorhomes. Additionally, mobile homes and glamping tents are available for rent. On warm days, you can take a refreshing dip in the outdoor swimming pool. Kids will love the playground, where they can have fun and make new friends. There’s also a table tennis table for a friendly match and a pétanque court for a relaxing game with fellow campers. The on-site restaurant serves delicious dishes, including Catalan specialties and grilled meals. Enjoy a refreshing drink or a cold beer on the terrace overlooking the pool.
Nature Holiday in the Pyrenees
For adventurous hikers, the Canigou Massif offers numerous scenic trails starting from Casteil. These paths lead through diverse landscapes, from dense forests to open mountain meadows, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Pyrenees. Be sure to visit the Cascades de Cady waterfalls (5.9 km), a perfect spot for a picnic or a refreshing swim on hot days. Another must-see is the Abbey of Saint-Martin-du-Canigou, perched high on a rock with an incredible view over the Pyrenees. Once at the top, you can join a guided tour and learn about monastic life, which is still preserved here.
