Feather Down Upper Shadymoor Farm

Feather Down Upper Shadymoor Farm is tucked away on the edge of a forest in Shropshire, West England. Here you will stay with Joy and Kevan, on a small-scale farm with Kerry Hill sheep, goats, pigs, horses and chickens. The six tent houses are in an idyllic spot, surrounded by bluebells and wild garlic. This is the real outdoor life: no electricity, but candlelight, wood-burning stoves and peace and quiet. You stay here to unwind, enjoy nature and experience farm life up close.

Comfortable camping in charming tent houses

The spacious tent houses are suitable for up to six people and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Inside, you will find a wood-burning stove, a fully equipped kitchen with a cooking island, a cosy sitting area and atmospheric lighting with candles. There are three bedrooms: one with a double bed, one with a box bed suitable for a child and one adult, and one with a bunk bed. The tent has a real flush toilet and a hot shower. When the weather is nice, you can open the sides of the tent and feel at one with nature.

Water fun, pizza evenings and sensory tours

Upper Shadymoor Farm excels in experiences. The highlight is the natural water park: swimming in open water, paddling, kayaking, or jumping on the water trampoline. There is a hot tub overlooking the water, pony rides for children, and even professional massages for those who really want to relax. During Joy and Kevan’s farm tour, you will experience the farm in a unique way with all five senses. Pizza evenings are regularly organised in the evenings. And in the cosy farm shop, you can buy fresh bread, pizza dough and local delicacies for a delicious dinner at your own picnic table.

For children and those seeking peace and quiet

For families and nature lovers, Feather Down Upper Shadymoor Farm is a true paradise. Children can help brush ponies, play forest games or explore the grounds. There are no cars on the field, so you can let them run around with peace of mind. At the same time, the campsite is also an oasis of tranquillity. With only six tent houses, no Wi-Fi or screens, and only the sound of birds and sheep, you can really find yourself here. It’s camping as it was meant to be: simple, pure and connected to nature.
