Flor do Brejo
Flor do Brejo is a small-scale nature campsite in the south of Portugal, located on a vast estate in the rural hinterland of the Alentejo, about a fifteen-minute drive from the Atlantic coast. The 21-hectare site stretches from a forest of ancient cork oaks down to a deep valley and borders the small hamlet of Delfeira in the parish of São Teotónio. Here the farmers still live in a traditional way, with free-ranging chickens, grazing cows and fields filled with orange and olive trees. At night it is truly dark, with an impressive starry sky above the silent landscape.
Camping among trees and fields
The campsite is situated on the edge of the estate and offers space for a maximum of five campers, vans or tents. The pitches are spacious and scattered in the shade of cork oaks, with views of the rolling landscape. You can stay with your own campervan, rooftop tent or tent, and guests without their own camping gear are also welcome. For them there is an atmospheric cotton dome tent ready, fully furnished with a double bed, seating area and a simple camping kitchen. In the old water reservoir there is a pool where you can cool off on warm days and enjoy the view over the surroundings. On-site you will also find a dry toilet, cold showers and electricity.

Flor do Brejo is located close to the Costa Vicentina, one of the most unspoiled coastal areas of Portugal. The ocean is nearby and every day you can discover a different beach. This region is especially popular with surfers, with renowned spots such as Arrifana, Odeceixe, Amado and Malhão. The coast features steep cliffs, sandy beaches and a blue ocean inviting adventure and relaxation. For walkers the Rota Vicentina is a highlight. Nearby are charming villages such as São Teotónio, Odemira, Vila Nova de Milfontes, Saboia and São Luís. Places like Lagos, Aljezur, Monchique and Odeceixe are also within an hour’s drive of the campsite.
