Hammarstrands Camping
In the green north of Sweden, between Östersund and Sundsvall, lies Hammarstrands Camping – a small-scale nature campsite on the banks of the Indalsälven River. The campsite is run by Dutch owners Rob and Brenda, who welcome you with open arms. From the campsite you’ll have stunning views of the river and the surrounding hills. This is a place of peace, nature and space – an ideal base for travellers who want to experience Sweden in a calm and personal way.
Campsites and traditional Swedish stugor
Hammarstrands Camping offers 30 spacious pitches with electricity and 6 grass tent spots without power. The site is green and well laid-out, with good lighting and several water points throughout the field. Prefer more comfort? Choose from four 4-person wooden stugor and two cosy 2-person cabins. Just 100 metres from the campsite, a private 2-person villa is also available. The atmosphere is laid-back and warm – camping as it’s meant to be, with a touch of Scandinavian comfort.

Visit the Döda Fallet (the ‘Dead Waterfall’), go canoeing on the river or spot moose in the woods. The cities of Östersund and Sundsvall are just an hour’s drive away if you’re looking for a day out.
