Kamp David
Kamp David is a small nature campsite in the picturesque Vipava Valley in Slovenia. Here you camp in the middle of an old oak forest that provides shelter on windy days and pleasant shade on sunny days. The pitches are spread out over green terraces, carefully laid out with traditional stone walls. Here you can hear the birds singing in the morning and experience the peace that only nature can give you. The sanitary facilities are clean and there is always hot water available. You will also find drinking water points, electricity connections, and neat disposal for grey water and chemical toilets at the camper area. For motorhome guests, there is a separate camper stop with all the necessary facilities outside the high season.
At the reception, Katja and David are happy to guide you with tips about the surroundings. You can also enjoy a good cup of coffee, a glass of local wine, a refreshing ice cream, or a snack there. Every morning it smells of fresh bread and croissants from the campsite’s own small bakery. Children have fun on the playground and pets are very welcome.

The immediate surroundings invite you to walk and cycle along vineyards, forests, and viewpoints. For example, cycle to Goče, an ancient wine village full of stone houses and wine cellars, or explore the medieval charm of Vipavski Križ. Nature lovers can delight in the Trnovo Plateau or at the Otlica Window, a rock formation with views all the way to the sea. Within half an hour you can reach the famous Postojna Cave, and if you drive a little further, you can be in Ljubljana in an hour or Venice in an hour and a half. The Vipava Valley itself is a true wine region. Wines such as zelen, pinela, and vitovska grganja can be tasted at local wineries or simply at the campsite, where tastings are also regularly organized.
