Minicamping De Reekens
On the edge of the picturesque fortified town of Heusden, on the grounds of an arable farm, lies Minicamping De Reekens. The car-free camping field offers spacious, quiet pitches of approx. 100m². All pitches have 8-amp electricity, and the open layout provides a good view of the central playground. The campsite is green, well-organised and friendly.
Unique stays: pipowagen, Keetje and Caatje
If you don’t have your own tent or caravan, you can rent one of the cosy accommodations. The pipowagen sleeps four and features a kitchenette, seating area, air conditioning and heating. “Keetje” and “Caatje” are simple, cosy lodgings for two people – ideal for walkers and cyclists staying a night or two. Both have a kitchenette, electricity and outdoor seating – perfect for recharging after a day outdoors.
Facilities and atmosphere
The campsite has modern sanitary facilities with showers, sinks and toilets, including a chemical toilet. For kids, there’s a large playground with a trampoline, go-karts, sandpit and swings. The recreation room offers games, coffee and books – great for rainy days. A petting zoo with donkeys, ponies, pigs, goats, chickens and rabbits adds extra charm. Guests can use the shared fridge with fresh eggs, there’s free Wi-Fi, and a washing machine and dryer are available.

From the campsite you can walk straight into the centre of Heusden for a terrace or a stroll on the historic ramparts. Nearby is outdoor swimming pool Het Run in Drunen, perfect for a hot summer day.
