Mini camping in Maldegem
A small-scale and atmospheric nature campsite in the rural area near Maldegem, on the edge of the Flemish polders. You camp here independently on a spacious site with your own tent, caravan, camper van, camper or roof-top tent. There are only ten pitches available, spread across a large grassy field with views of the meadows. Thanks to the generous layout, you can choose your ideal spot, whether in the sun, under a tree or close to the swimming pond. The campsite is tucked away among fields and borders pastures with horses and cows. The location is rural and peaceful, with no traffic noise.
Free pitches among the fields
On warm days the swimming pond provides welcome refreshment and is ideal for a few laps. Next to the pond there is a terrace with picnic tables where you can eat, read or enjoy the view. In the large hall you will find a cozy seating area with a piano, bar billiards, games and comic books. This is where you can have breakfast or shelter when the weather turns. The hall also offers wifi (limited reception) and heating via a wood stove. A fully equipped kitchen is available with a gas stove, oven, coffee maker, kettle, microwave, crockery and cookware. Fire bowls may be used free of charge and wood is available for purchase (or you may bring your own).

For daily groceries and treats there are bakeries, supermarkets and brasseries in Eede, Maldegem and Aardenburg. Feeling peckish or in the mood for an ice cream? Try Santa Clara, Loko Moco, Fred’s Café or the well-known restaurant De Roste Muis. The campsite is also close to Maldegem (3 km) and Aardenburg (5 km), and Bruges, Ghent, Damme, Sluis, Knokke-Zee and Cadzand are within half an hour’s drive. Perfect for city or beach excursions. Nearby attractions include the ‘t Krekeltje play paradise, an ostrich farm, the World War II museum in Adegem, the Zwin nature reserve and a maize maze.
