Museumboerderij Mariahoeve

Museumboerderij Mariahoeve is a small-scale nature campsite located on the grounds of a historic farmhouse in a rural setting in Gelderland. Whether nestled among trees or on an open field with wide views, the pitches at Mariahoeve are varied and spacious. Whether you arrive with a tent, caravan, rooftop tent, or camper, there’s always a pleasant spot available. All 30 pitches come with electricity and are spread out across the grounds, allowing you to enjoy your stay in peaceful surroundings. For those preferring a roof over their heads, there are three wooden cabins nestled in the greenery.

Hospitality in a historic setting

At the heart of the site lies the cozy Schenkerij, where you can enjoy an extensive lunch or join one of the theme evenings featuring barbecue burgers, spare ribs, or cocktails. Here you’ll not only taste the food but also experience the ambiance of traditional farm life. The Schenkerij is also well-suited for events, weddings, and other gatherings, all organised with great care. Children are entertained on-site with go-karts, play equipment, and a farmyard area with ponies, rabbits, and goats. During holiday periods, fun activities like a farm diploma day are organised. Comfortable amenities include warm showers, toilets, a dishwashing area, and Wi‑Fi. A secure bicycle storage with a charging point makes the stay extra convenient for guests who wish to explore the surroundings by bike.

Discover the Veluwe

Museumboerderij Mariahoeve is an experience in itself. You step literally back in time, into a fully preserved interior from the early 20th century. Audiotours and guided walks bring the history of the Van de Brink family vividly to life. Other cultural highlights in Putten include the local Museum De Tien Malen and the October ’44 memorial room, where the past becomes tangible. From the campsite or museum, you can walk or cycle straight into the expansive landscape, with forests, fields, avenues, and traditional farms. Nature lovers can explore numerous ‘klompenpaden’, the famous Marskramer Pad, and the impressive Schovenhorst Estate, where you wander through tree gardens and climb a lookout tower with panoramic views over the Veluwe.
