Naturcamp Canow is a small nature campsite on Lake Labussee in Wustrow, in the heart of the Mecklenburg Lake District in Germany. It is a peacefully situated campsite for nature lovers, active holidaymakers and campers who enjoy the great outdoors. The site is nestled amongst woods, marshes, meadows and lakes. The campsite has no marked pitches, which helps to preserve the natural atmosphere. You can swim in Lake Labussee, relax by the campfire or explore the surrounding area from the water.

Natural camping on the Labussee

At Naturcamp Canow, you can stay overnight in a tent, caravan, campervan or small van. There are large and small pitches on natural ground, scattered throughout the woods and meadows. Tents of various sizes are also welcome.

Relax, go boating and enjoy nature

The campsite has a toilet block with showers and washing-up areas. In the Panorama Fass Sauna, you can enjoy the warmth and the view over Lake Labussee. Afterwards, you can cool off straight away in the lake. There are two campfire pits on the site where you can sit together around the fire and gaze at the stars. Firewood is available at the campsite. At the boat hire centre, you can hire kayaks, Canadian canoes, stand-up paddleboards and rowing boats. Motorised rowing boats are also available, for which no licence is required. From the campsite, you can easily set off on a relaxing boat trip, a fishing excursion or a longer journey across the lakes and canals.

Naturcamp Canow is situated in a scenic area with countless lakes, canals and forests. You can swim in the Labussee or explore the surrounding area on a walk, cycle ride or canoe trip. From the water, you may spot kingfishers, herons, white-tailed eagles, beavers, ospreys and other wildlife. The village of Canow is within walking distance of the campsite. Here you’ll find restaurants, a café and a small shop for everyday groceries. Rheinsberg Castle is about twelve kilometres away and features extensive castle grounds and a theatre. For a family day out, head to Ziegeleipark Mildenberg, where you can explore old ring kilns and machine halls, take a mini-train ride around the site, and let the children play in the adventure playground and water play area.
