Nature Campsite in Carnas
You spend the night here on a large plot of land between the Cévennes and the Camargue, in the Gard region of southern France. On this site you can pitch your tent, caravan, bus camper, camper or rooftop tent on the spacious spots. Water and electricity are available without limits. In addition, there is a toilet and a warm shower. For cooking and ambiance you can use a campfire or barbecue (as long as permitted under local regulations or drought restrictions). You’ll find comfort in simple conveniences: a dishwashing spot, power points, and access to hot water. Pets are welcome, provided they are social and not aggressive. Bicycles can be stored in a barn or stable, although these are not lockable. Two tents are also available on site for those who arrive without their own tent.
Visit the picturesque villages Sommières and Sauve
Carnas lies in the heart of the Gard, between the Cévennes and the Camargue, offering a surprisingly diverse environment of nature, history and small villages. About 10 km from the campsite is the medieval gem Sommières. Wander through narrow streets and arches, visit local markets on Saturdays, and enjoy the Mediterranean way of life. A bit further, at about 17 km, lies the village of Sauve, perched slightly higher, with narrow alleys, historic facades and lovely views over the surrounding landscape.
