You camp on a spacious site surrounded by trees, herbs and blooming shrubs in a young food forest. There are regular camping spots as well as secluded off-the-grid pitches for those who truly want to escape the bustle. Whether you come with a tent, campervan, rooftop tent, caravan or motorhome, you’re welcome here. The pitches are generously spaced and offer views of woodland edges or open meadows. Dogs are allowed, as long as they are kept on a leash.

Electricity is limited and only available at specific spots. You can charge your phone at the central point. In the evening, the campsite comes alive around the fire pits. There’s no Wi-Fi, but you’ll find birdsong, fresh air and the scent of blooming plants.

The campsite is located on the edge of Drouwenerveen, in the heart of the Hondsrug region. From the site, you can walk straight into open landscapes or explore the food forest. For a day out, visit the famous Hunebed Centre in Borger, less than ten minutes away. The lively town of Stadskanaal is also nearby, with shops, cafés and a market. Cyclists can explore the scenic Drenthe countryside with its winding roads, traditional village greens and ancient forests.
