Nature campsite in Val-Cenis
This nature campsite is tucked away at the bottom of an unspoiled mountain valley in the French Alps. Here you camp with your tent in a sheltered spot beneath larch trees, within walking distance of a gently flowing river. The tent pitches are spacious and scattered across the terrain, offering plenty of privacy and a sense of freedom. On-site, you’ll find a communal outdoor kitchen with a gas stove, fridge, cooking utensils, plates, cutlery and a kettle. You can cook here, enjoy meals together at the outdoor table or take shelter under the covered area when the weather is less favourable. Showers are outdoors; warm water is available for a small fee. Toilets are provided, as well as a dishwashing area. Electricity is limited but sufficient for charging your phone. In the evenings, a fire bowl and fire pit create warmth and atmosphere. There is also a wood stove for chilly days and an indoor area where you can sit, read or play a game.
Explore the nature of the Alps
A special place to visit is the Fondo waterfall. Clear mountain water flows between rocks and along narrow ledges, forming pools where you can swim or simply sit with your feet in the water. The region also offers numerous hiking trails, suitable for both short walks and longer day hikes with views of mountain peaks and valleys.
