Nature Campsite in Vebron
At this small-scale nature campsite in the village of Vebron, located in the heart of the Cévennes National Park, you camp in a peaceful green spot by the banks of the Tarnon river. The campsite lies in a valley, between the village of Vébron and the rugged wilderness of the Cévennes. From your pitch, you can enjoy views of the forest, the mountains or the river, and within minutes you are in the middle of a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The spacious pitches are suitable for tents, rooftop tents, caravans, campervans or motorhomes. There are also furnished tents and a few pitches with private sanitary facilities available. The sanitary amenities are clean and functional, with hot showers and toilets.
Dining, playing and relaxing by the river
Children can have fun on the small playground or at the sports field, which also features a pétanque court. Various play materials are available and free to use. On warm days, the river beneath the campsite is the perfect place to cool off, paddle, or go for a real swim. When the weather turns, there’s a sheltered spot where you can sit dry, read a book or play a game. During the high season, a small restaurant opens offering simple meals and drinks. At the little grocery corner, you’ll find local products such as honey, cheese or homemade jam.
Explore the nature and culture of the Cévennes
Countless hiking trails start right at the campsite. You’ll receive maps and personal advice on the best routes through forests, across rocks and past caves. For those seeking more adventure, there’s canyoning, climbing and via ferrata. Discover the park with a donkey trek, explore the Gorges du Tarn or visit caves like Aven Armand or Dargilan. In the village, you’ll find a summer farmer’s market, a film festival and regular live music. The region is full of stories, wildlife and views. This is camping with a true “Esprit Cévennes” feeling.
