Minicampsite in Warffum
This charming minicampsite with just three pitches is located on a rural property in the north of the Netherlands, surrounded by open fields. Camp in the grass, beneath a tree, or near the fire pit. Suitable for tents, caravans, small campervans and rooftop tents. No access for campers longer than 5 metres or higher than 3 metres. Guests can use the communal kitchen in the wooden annex, equipped with a coffee machine, kettle, hotplates, plates, and a dining table. There is also a barbecue area for preparing your favourite meat and vegetables. In the evening, light a fire and enjoy the peace and quiet. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash due to free-roaming deer.
Nature camping in Groningen
Discover the tranquillity of the Groningen landscape with a walk over the ancient ‘wierden’ (artificial dwelling mounds). These lie scattered across a wide-open landscape of fields, farms and dikes. Enjoy the silence, the expansive views and the feeling of being alone in the world. Don’t miss the Openluchtmuseum Het Hoogeland: a charming open-air museum where you step back in time and walk past historic Groningen houses, a small school, and old workshops. Another highlight is the nearby Dark Sky Park Lauwersmeer – one of the best places in the Netherlands to stargaze without light pollution.
