Nature campsite in Wolfach
Nature campsite on a high meadow in the Black Forest with beautiful views of the surroundings. Set up your tent, camper or caravan in a quiet 200 m² meadow. The campsite is situated high on the hillside and offers spectacular views of the central Black Forest. On clear days, you can even see the Vosges Mountains in the distance. The pitches are spread out along a fence, where you may spot cows, horses, and wild animals like foxes and hares. About ten minutes’ walk away is the host’s farmhouse, where you have access to a toilet and a hot shower, available day and night. Upon arrival, you’ll be warmly welcomed and given a tour of the area. A communal grill is available for cooking, and you’re allowed to make your own campfires in designated spots. Firewood is available for a small fee. Just 500 meters from the campsite is a natural pond where you can swim. A short walk takes you to a hut with a playground — ideal for families looking for peace and space. Horse lovers can bring their own horse, there’s a pasture and stabling available. Dogs are also welcome.

The campsite lies on the edge of Wolfach, in the heart of the Black Forest. This region is known for its deep forests, rolling hills and picturesque valleys. From the campsite, you can head straight into nature on foot or by bike. For mountain bikers, this is a true paradise with a variety of trails. Don’t miss the Grube Wenzel visitor mine in Oberwolfach, where you can explore the silver-mining history of the area underground. Prefer to be in the air? The Hirschgrund Zipline Area lets you glide across the Kinzig Valley on seven zip lines. Also nearby is the Vogtsbauernhöfe open-air museum in Gutach, offering a glimpse into traditional Black Forest farm life. And on the Hornberger Platte, you can go climbing and enjoy stunning views.
