Nature Campsite La Divine Providence
Nature Campsite La Divine Providence is a small-scale nature campsite located on the grounds of a former monastery in the village of Wodecq, in the Belgian province of Hainaut. The campsite is tucked away in a historic monastery garden of 2.5 hectares, where you camp among old deciduous and fruit trees. For those who prefer a bit more comfort, there is a charmingly decorated gypsy wagon with a terrace, hammock, and its own kitchenette. The sanitary facilities are simple but well-maintained, with warm outdoor showers and toilets housed in the old monastery buildings. There is a communal campfire area where you can chat with fellow guests in the evening.
Camping in Wallonia
La Divine Providence is located in the rolling landscape of the Pays des Collines, one of the most beautiful hiking areas in Wallonia. From the campsite, you can walk directly through hills, along country paths, and small forest trails. Nearby are charming villages like Ellezelles and the artistic Sentier de l’Étrange, a route full of sculptures, chapels, and local legends. Nature lovers will also find their paradise here, in a region rich in birds, butterflies, and surprising views.
