Nordstrand Camping
Nordstrand Camping is a large family campsite right by the sea in North Jutland near the town of Frederikshavn on the Baltic Sea. It is possible to rent a pitch, wooden chalet, or trekking cabin. In the summer, the swimming pool is a delightful place to cool off and have fun in the water. Additionally, you will find a mini golf course, volleyball court, and table tennis table on the campsite. For children, there is also a fun outdoor playground with an air trampoline to let off steam. If the weather is less than ideal, you can head to the large indoor play paradise with slides, a ball pit, and climbing equipment. The animation team entertains both young and old with various fun activities. Dogs can be walked in the nearby forest, and there is a barbecue area where you can cook up a storm. From the campsite, you can walk straight onto the tropical beach where you can take a dip in the sea, build sandcastles with the kids, and relax in the sun. For a bite to eat and a drink, you can visit the restaurant located 200 meters away.
Discover North Jutland, the versatile north of Denmark
In the surroundings of the campsite, there is plenty to see and do. Take a trip to Grenen (42.8 km), the northernmost point of Denmark. Here you can experience the spectacular natural phenomenon where the two seas meet. Also, be sure to visit the Råbjerg Mile (29.3 km), Denmark’s largest wandering dune. What makes this dune so special is that it moves 18 meters northeast every year. It’s a delightful place for a walk and feels like you’re in the middle of the desert. Or take a boat trip along the coastline to explore the area from the water and possibly spot seals and other sea creatures. Charming villages to explore include Sæby (17.7 km), Skagen (38.3 km), and Lønstrup (49.8 km).
