Sølvgarden Feriesenter is a nature campsite located along the Otra River and next to a boutique hotel in the lush heart of Setesdal. On this small-scale campsite, you camp on spacious grassy fields surrounded by trees, hedges, and a dramatic mountain landscape. Nature is all around: wake up with a view of the valley, enjoy breakfast in the open air, and step right onto the hiking trail. In addition to the camping pitches, there are also simple, cozy log cabins for rent – perfect for those who want comfort without missing the charm of outdoor living. You can camp at Sølvgarden with a tent, caravan, or camper. The pitches have grassy surfaces and are separated by paths and greenery. The extra-large comfort pitches are bordered by hedges for extra privacy and include hookups for fresh water, electricity, and grey water. Want a little extra convenience? You can rent your own private bathroom for the entire stay. No camping gear? Rent one of the simple, affordable cabins for 4 people – or book a room in the adjacent hotel.
Paddling, swimming & live music at the bar
Thanks to its location on the Otra, you can enjoy swimming, fishing, or renting a canoe for a relaxing trip on the water. For children, there’s a playground by the water, and campfires and barbecues are popular on the large grassy field. Smith’s Bar gets lively during folk music nights – feel free to bring your own guitar or fiddle and join in! The on-site restaurant is also worth a visit, serving Norwegian specialties with a cozy terrace for sunny days.
