’t Heuvelken

’t Heuvelken is a peaceful nature campsite in Limburg, Belgium, located on the edge of the vast Merode forest area covering more than 500 hectares. On the campsite, you pitch your tent with views over woods and fields and enjoy silence, nature and open space. Here you can truly recharge, surrounded by singing birds and soft sunsets. Drinking water is available and there is a campfire spot to gather around in the evening. For families, there is a child-friendly play area with animals on site. Dogs are welcome.

’t Heuvelken is an ideal base for walking and cycling trips through the green surroundings. Climb the 23-metre-high lookout tower in Gerhagen for a panoramic view over the nature reserve and visit the forest museum. Fancy a treat? Head to the Abbey of Averbode for abbey beer or try an artisanal ice cream at Mucca Rosa in Engsbergen. Nearby, you’ll also find cosy cafés like Den Hemel or Railz in Zichem. For groceries, there’s a Proxy Delhaize in the village, open even on Sunday mornings, or the nearby night shop.
