Camping Onlycamp de Chamarges
Camping de Chamarges is a charming campsite located by a river in the enchanting Drôme Valley, just 2.5 km from the historic center of Die. On warm summer days, you can take a refreshing dip in the outdoor pool or swim in the Drôme River, which runs alongside the campsite. Additionally, children can have a blast in the playground with swings, a slide, and a ping-pong table. For sports enthusiasts, there’s also a soccer field, volleyball court, and petanque (boules) area available. If you don’t feel like cooking, you can grab a snack or drink at the snack bar. During the peak season, fresh bread and croissants are available for purchase every morning. If you want to explore the surroundings on the water, you can rent a canoe at the campsite.
Camping in the Drôme
The camping pitches are spacious and equipped with electricity connections. You can also stay in a unique glamping tent, which comes with all the conveniences. The Tent Ponza accommodates 4 people and features two bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a veranda for outdoor relaxation. For a bit more luxury, book the Chalet Galli, suitable for up to 5 people. This tent includes two sleeping areas, a fully equipped kitchen, a wooden veranda, and a private bathroom.
Explore the town of Die
The campsite is just a stone’s throw away from the beautiful town of Die. The town is surrounded by mountains, vineyards, lavender fields, and fruit trees. You can wander through cozy alleys, charming houses, and picturesque streets. The historic center used to be surrounded by walls, some of which you can still partially admire today. The city gate has remained completely intact and is definitely worth a visit. Don’t forget to try the local wine ‘Clairette de Die’ at one of the cozy restaurants.
