Camping Des Gorges
Camping Des Gorges is a family-friendly campsite with a swimming pool located in Saint-Martin, situated directly on the river at the end point of the famous descent of the Gorges de l’Ardèche. The campsite offers 120 spacious pitches and 30 mobile homes, all equipped with their own terrace and air conditioning. The pool, with its children’s pool and jacuzzi, provides water fun for both young and old. Additionally, guests can swim in the river, where a natural pebble beach is located. It is also possible to embark on a canoe trip directly from the campsite. During the peak season, there are plenty of enjoyable activities planned for children. Fishing, badminton, and attending musical evenings in the evenings are also available options. If you don’t feel like cooking one evening, you can dine at the snack bar or on the terrace overlooking the pool. For any forgotten groceries, the campsite’s grocery store is at your disposal.
Camping on the Ardèche River
When camping in the Ardèche region, a canoe trip along the river is an absolute must! At the campsite, you can easily hop into a canoe and embark on beautiful excursions. The campsite is conveniently located just 800 meters from the village of Saint-Martin-d’Ardèche and 30 km from the Vallon Pont d’Arc, the natural arch over the water that the Ardèche is famous for. Near the Vallon Pont d’Arc, you can also find the Grotte Chauvet 2, where ancient cave paintings can be admired. A guided tour of the caves lasts approximately 50 minutes. Several educational workshops are available specifically for children, including sessions on prehistoric human weapons or ancient fire-making techniques.
