Camping Le Pas de l’Ours
Camping Le Pas de l’Ours is a small-scale campsite with a swimming pool located by a stream in the Ariège. From your spacious pitch or rental accommodation, you’ll enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The campsite offers pitches for all types of camping equipment and chalets and gîtes for a comfortable stay. For children aged between 6 and 12, there’s entertainment, and the campsite features a playground with a slide, swings, and climbing frames. There’s also a tennis court, table tennis table, and volleyball court. The large grassy areas on the campsite are perfect for a game of boules or badminton. The pool is just 50 meters from the camping area and features a fun water slide. Additionally, there’s a fishing pond just 5 minutes from the campsite and an exciting climbing park 20 minutes away. Are you up for it? In July and August, the snack bar is open, and you can get fresh bread daily.
Active Holiday in the Ariège
The campsite is the ideal destination for an active holiday in the Ariège. There are plenty of opportunities for mountain biking, hiking, and canyoning in the area. Additionally, within less than half an hour’s drive in winter, you’ll find various ski resorts. The campsite is particularly popular among young families and nature enthusiasts. Rent a bike to explore the surroundings or take part in organized activities, such as a dance class with Cathy, a kayak trip with Arnaud, or an electric mountain bike tour led by Christophe. There’s something for everyone! Just 2 kilometers from the campsite, you’ll find the village of Les Cabannes, with various shops and restaurants.
Winter Sports in the Ariège
In winter, the chalets of Le Pas de l’Ours are an excellent base for a winter sports holiday in South France. The ski resorts Ax 3 Domaines and Plateau de Beille are approximately 20-25 minutes’ drive away. Ax 3 Domaines consists of three areas, totaling 80 km of slopes, and on the Beille plateau, you can enjoy skiing, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing, among other activities. There’s something for everyone. In winter, the campsite offers a waxing room and a (paid) shuttle bus to Beille during weekends and school holidays.
