Camping Le Val du Gave d’Aspe in Gurmençon is a family campsite with a swimming pool in the countryside, between Biarritz and Lourdes, at the foot of the French Pyrenees in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques (Aquitaine). Wooden chalets with private terraces are available for rent at the campsite. The site is completely enclosed and guarded. Each cottage offers privacy and tranquillity. The nearby mountains are ideal for beautiful walks and skiing in winter. Cycling enthusiasts can try their hand at the legendary mountain passes of the Tour de France. You can also take various day trips to the Cathedral of Saint Mary of Oloron, the Route of Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle, bastides and castles. You can also enjoy the Petit Train d’Artouste (the highest in Europe), the caves of Bétharram or the bear park in Borce. Near the campsite are the towns of Lourdes, the Basque coast with Bayonne, Saint-Jean-de-Luz and Biarritz.
