Camping in the Dordogne
The Dordogne has a wide variety of landscapes, scents and colours, which are among the region’s natural monuments. And then, of course, there are the famous delicacies: truffles, nuts and goat’s cheese, which feature in the delicious regional cuisine. If you hire a canoe, you can explore the Dordogne independently, travelling down the river past high rock faces, through forests and viewing castles from the water’s edge. One or two-day trips. Departure and arrival at Les Ombrages campsite. In Sarlat, 800 metres from the campsite, many activities are organised, especially in July and August.
