EuroParcs Markermeer is a waterfront holiday park located in North Holland. The park is situated on the eponymous lake and offers tiny houses and chalets, some of which are right by the lake. From your holiday home, you can take a refreshing swim in the lake and bask in the sun on the grass. You can also go paddleboarding, as there is paddleboard rental available on the park. For the kids, there are playgrounds, and during school holidays, there’s entertainment. If you’re up for exploring the surroundings, you can rent an e-chopper or a bike at the reception. Some accommodations allow dogs, and you can order fresh bread for breakfast year-round.

Holiday Park on the Markermeer

The holiday park is situated on the Markermeer in the village of Bovenkarspel near Enkhuizen. The area offers plenty of recreational opportunities. You can paddleboard on the lake and enjoy beautiful cycling and hiking in a wooded landscape. Additionally, you can immerse yourself in the characteristic Dutch culture in cities like Hoorn and Enkhuizen. In Enkhuizen, the history of the Golden Age comes to life with its monumental buildings, fortifications, and the Zuiderzeemuseum. The same applies to Hoorn, which was one of the most important trading centers for the Dutch East India Company (V.O.C.). With the kids, you can visit Sprookjeswonderland in Enkhuizen and the Summer Fair in Hoorn (10 days in August). Other fun activities include an Escape Room in Purmerend and a day of shopping at Batavia Stad Fashion Outlet.
