Camping Le Lac d’Orient is a large and beautiful campsite in the Champagne-Ardenne region, with both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, located on the edge of a lake with a beach in the southern part of the Aube department. This new campsite offers spacious, delimited camping pitches and rental accommodations, including various mobile homes and caravans with a capacity of up to 6 people. For water enthusiasts, this is the ideal campsite. In the middle of the site, there is a fantastic water park with indoor and outdoor pools, a water slide, and toddler pools. There are plenty of activities for children, including an entertainment program with sports and games, a themed jungle playground, and a kids’ club where they can enjoy crafts. The adjacent sailing school offers windsurfing and sailing courses for beginners to advanced learners, and equipment can also be rented. Lake d’Orient is part of the Parc naturel régional de la forêt d’Orient, covering 1560 hectares and featuring three large lakes. This natural park is an important ornithological area, especially for migratory birds. For culture and history, take a trip to the medieval city of Troyes with its historic center. Visit one of the churches with beautiful stained glass windows or savor local delicacies in a restaurant. In the village of Colombey-les-deux-Églises, former President General De Gaulle is buried. In his honor, a Memorial museum has been established here, which also hosts other exhibitions. Champagne is one of the most famous wine regions.
