Molecaten Park ‘t Hout
Molecaten Park ‘t Hout is a large family campsite with an outdoor swimming pool and water slides, located in the Frisian Woods. The large campsite has spacious pitches where you can pitch a tent, park a camper van or caravan. You can also stay in a chalet, safari tent or camping cabin. On a hot summer’s day, you can cool off in the outdoor swimming pool with paddling pool. There are also two fun water slides you can slide down. There are also several playgrounds scattered throughout the holiday park. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy themselves on the panna and basketball courts. There is also an animal pasture, indoor playground and table tennis table. Next to the swimming pool, you will find a snack bar with a terrace where you can grab a bite to eat or a cup of coffee. Fresh bread rolls are available every morning.
Children’s campsite in Friesland
The holiday park is located in Bakkeveen, at the intersection of the provinces of Friesland, Groningen and Drenthe. The site is also surrounded by nature in the Frisian Woods. This nature reserve consists of forests, sand drifts, heathland and grassland. There are over 130 kilometres of walking trails and it is wonderfully peaceful. For children, there is also a special play forest where they can climb and clamber to their heart’s content. The beautiful city of Groningen is a 40-minute drive from the campsite. The city is rich in various national monuments, charming streets, cosy parks and interesting museums.
