Terrassen Camping is a 4-star campsite with perhaps Denmark’s best view. The campsite is the second-highest campsite in Denmark and features a swimming pool and offers stunning views over the lake, forests, and hills. Both from the pool as well as from your camping pitch, you can enjoy this beautiful scenery. Most camping spots are located on separate terraces at different heights, allowing for optimal enjoyment of the view.
Child-friendly campsite in Denmark
The campsite is child-friendly and offers exciting activities for both young and old. There is a lovely swimming pool with magnificent views of the lake and a playground with an air trampoline, swings, climbing frame, and zip line. Challenge each other to a game of mini-golf or join in a match on the football field or the petanque court. There is also a recreation room with a pool table, air hockey, and TV room for when the weather is less favorable. Throughout the season, a variety of activities are organized, such as evening swimming, curling, magic shows, and more.

The campsite has 250 camping pitches and various rental accommodations, including tastefully decorated glamping tents, cozy chalets, and mobile homes. Terrassen Camping is located in the heart of the Danish Lake District of Søhøjlandet. It is the ideal holiday destination if you want to enjoy a camping holiday in Silkeborg. Just below the campsite is a direct train connection to Silkeborg and Aarhus. In just 11 minutes, you’ll be in the center of Silkeborg, and in 38 minutes, you’ll reach Aarhus. In addition to train connections, you’ll also find ferry boats that can take you to Silkeborg, Ry, or Himmelbjerget.
