With a bit of luck, you may also encounter rare animals here, such as adders, various butterfly species, and deer. Moreover, this province is renowned for its historical Dolmens. You can gain a fascinating insight into the history of these prehistoric monuments at the Dolmen Center in Borger, which is definitely worth a visit. Don’t forget to embark on day trips to cities like Assen, Emmen, or Hoogeveen during your stay.
