Camping! How wonderful is that?! Bare feet in the grass, a breeze in your ears, the sound of raindrops on your tent (only at night, of course), breakfast on a picnic blanket, the kids do the dishes, and whatever you’ve forgotten, you can just borrow from the neighbors. You completely detach from everything else you’re usually busy with. An empty mind? Oh yes, that’s how it feels! At this campsite in Friesland, life still revolves around weighty matters like the position of the sun, the color of the wine, the best wind direction for a bike ride, and the content of your book.

Naturcamping it Dreamlân in Kollumerpomp is located near the beautiful Lauwersmeer National Park and the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site, in the most beautiful province of the Netherlands (seriously). Surrounded by nature, vast skies everywhere, a relaxed atmosphere, and always friendly people around you. There are 25 spacious spots for tents, caravans, campers, vans, folding trailers, and anything similar. Do you want the relaxed atmosphere, outdoor life, and camping feeling but camping isn’t really your thing? Then we also have 2 fully equipped eco-lodges.
It Dreamlân is a recognized Nature Camping Site in Friesland and is located on an old Frisian terp with wild grass and meadow flowers by the meandering water of the Dwarsryd. Where we have mowed the grass a bit lower, you can set up your tent or camping equipment. All the wild grass and the space around you are there to be enjoyed.
In the covered fireplace area with lounge cushions, you can enjoy the day by a fire. Roasting marshmallows, sipping your drink in contemplation, or having a good conversation.

Camping at it Dreamlân is also absolutely fantastic for children: straight out of the sleeping bag, jump into the sandbox, fishing with nets by the water, racing on the go-kart, paddling with the canoes, a soccer tournament with all the camping children, jumping on the trampoline throughout the day, playing outside and getting dirty (no panic, there’s a washing machine)!
And, how great for moms, dads, and kids: the grounds are safe, so you don’t have to watch them all day!

Here, there is real peace and space as the nature camping site is at the end of a dead-end road on the Kollumer terp. Next to the site is a meadow bird area, and with only a few farms around, there is hardly any traffic nearby. The Wadden Islands National Park Schiermonnikoog and Ameland are both easily accessible for a day trip. The nature camping site is located halfway between the provinces of Groningen and Friesland for a day of shopping or culture. The beautiful Lauwersmeer National Park and the breathtaking UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Wadden Sea, are nearby for a dose of pure nature. Furthermore, there are many charming Frisian villages in the area, and the historic Frisian town of Dokkum (known for the Elfstedentocht) is also nearby.
